Bringing in yoga into your work space allows the employees to re-fresh and re-boot so they can be ready to return to work with a clear head.
Private, personalized yoga can be healing in many ways. Whether you’re looking to deepen your practice, heal from an injury, or simply bring the yoga to you. Available for Prenatal and Postnatal instruction. Fees are based on time and location. Small group instruction is also available.

Placenta encapsulation is a way to further support new mothers in the early postpartum period. The process includes dehydrating the placenta overnight, grinding it into a powder, and putting it in capsules. I’m certified with an OSHA compliant blood born pathogens training.
When you request the placenta encapsulation, I will come and collect the placenta from the hospital, birthing center or your home. I work out of her home and will return the placenta as soon as it’s ready (24-48 hours). Depending on size and weight of the placenta, you will receive 80-120 pills. The pills can be taken in the early postpartum period for as long as desired throughout the first year.
The placenta transports nutrients to the fetus during gestation, as well as producing and regulating hormones. Proponents believe that the placenta retains some of these substances after delivery, and that the consumption of the placenta by the mother can help her recover more quickly following childbirth by replenishing nutrients and hormones lost. Newly postpartum women can ingest their placentas, which benefits may include:
I offer in-home support for new mamas and their families postpartum. Having extra support around after the birth can be a wonderful way to transition into your ‘new normal’. Care includes help with the baby and support breastfeeding. I also do light housekeeping, such as the never-ending laundry that needs to be done, dishes, and sweeping. I love to cook nutritious vegetarian food for the mama too. I believe that feeding the mama, is feeding the family. I like to make foods that help support the body after birth, such as warming soups and stews, hearty grains and vitamin-rich smoothies.
Three hour minimum per visit and a 3 visit minimum. I am available for more time as needed. Day time hours only.
Childbirth Education Classes
Offering private or small group in-home childbirth education classes. It can be hard to commit to 6 or 8 week class to learn about your upcoming birth and what to expect afterwards. That’s why I lead small group classes for 2 sessions that last 3 hours each. Learn about what to expect during labor, delivery and postpartum. We will discuss the stages of labor, how your partner can support you during labor and delivery, what different birth outcomes may look like. There will be time focusing on the postpartum period, also known as the 4th trimester.
I knew that I wanted a doula for my birth and Julie was the obvious choice for us. She has a tenderness matched with strength, compassion, knowledge and intuition that I needed for this experience. My baby was so good at first! He waited until she arrived to Canada to make his entrance…..Unfortunately, he took his time and made her work really hard for a couple days. She and my husband were an incredible team. We spent a large portion of the time at home and Julie was seamless as she entered in to support us and left to give us space. She made sure we were fed and hydrated. It wasn’t until after Parker arrived that I realized just how amazing Julie was as my doula. She made my home feel peaceful, calm, safe….she helped keep things organized and clean. I always had a healthy, hearty, nourishing meal with her….I could go on and on. I was reminded to shower, she massaged me, she was everything I needed as I clumsily made my way into motherhood.

Julia Anne was an outstanding postpartum doula; my husband and I cannot recommend her enough, and we will be forever grateful for the support she gave us during such an intense and vulnerable time of our lives. We had Julie Anne come twice a week for six to eight weeks, and honestly, I wish I could have had her come longer. Every time she came over she focused on the wellbeing of our whole family. Julie Anne would cook us incredibly delicious, nourishing foods (I cannot stress how much we loved her cooking), prep snacks for me and would do light household chores. I looked forward to each of her visits and felt more at peace and stable after she would come. She was easy and fun to talk with and very knowledgeable about babies and postpartum recovery. Julie is a force to be reckoned with, in the best possible way! I first met Julie during her prenatal yoga class at the Green Yogi.
